How to Contact ARNie
I am being over run with Spam, and my email service has no filters, so I am forced to move my email.
1. Click on this link: ChezCrochet@Yahoo.com
2. PUT THE WORD 'CROCHET' IN THE SUBJECT LINE. IF 'CROCHET' IS NOT IN THE SUBJECT LINE, THE EMAIL WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY DUMPED IN A JUNK FILE.
3. I do not open attachments that I have no prior knowledge of.
Explanation:
For every good thing the Internet Wizards create, someone else creates technology to ruin it. My Techno Wizard tells me that there are programs that roam the web known as Spiders. Programmers can tell their Spider to look for certain things, such as Email Addresses within web pages. Once the email address is located, they are sold to Spammers.
I receive upwards of 50 Spam, Scams, and Virus emails every day... and then scattered through those were legitimate emails that I did not recognize as correspondence from ChezCrochet visitors. Trying to open each and every email to determine whether it was legitimate or not, wasted hours of my time. Time that I could be writing the next book, creating new patterns to share with you, or developing new Tunisian Crochet stitches for you to try.
Yes, all of the ChezCrochet.com addresses are still active, and you can reach me through any of them; just be sure to put Crochet in the subject line.
ChezCrochetGazette Frequently Asked Questions
Thanks for subscribing to the ChezCrochetGazette! I look forward to delivering a project pattern and the update announcements to your email address.
This is the most Frequently Asked Question about the Gazette:
Why am I not receiving the Gazette?
Well, as the past has proven, I have health issues that can get in the way of all the things she really wants to do. I have to make choices on what I can accomplish each week, and what must be added to the list of future chores.
However, there are other reasons why you may not be receiving the ChezCrochetGazette....
Exceeded Storage Allocation....
If you have a free or low cost email service such as Yahoo, Excite, Hotmail, MSN and others, you are limited to the amount of emails you 'store' with your account. I receive numerous notices that the Gazette was undelivered to certain addresses, because the account had 'exceeded storage allocation.' If you do not receive the Gazette bi-weekly, check the storage on your account; it may be full and ALL of your email is being Returned to Sender. Be sure to clean out your Old Mail, Sent Mail and actually purge/delete those emails in the Trash.
Spam Blockers, Firewalls, and other security measures
With all of the new spyware, adware and plain old spam emails, many folks are installing software designed to fight these nuisances. To insure you receive the Gazette, you may need to take extra measures with your own security software. This may include adding the Gazette's email address to your address book. Look into the Help section of your software, AND WITH YOUR ISP to see how to approve the Gazette for delivery. Many ISP's are screening emails before they are delivered to the personal accounts, so check your 'spam files' regularly to see if any legitimate emails have been dumped there.
Did I Miss an Issue?
If for any reason you don't receive the Gazette, you will find the entire archive of Gazettes at the home page at Yahoo. I will also post the newest additions to ChezCrochet.com on the Front Door (home page.)
How do I unsubscribe?
Go to the ChezCrochetGazette homepage at Yahoo and follow the instructions there to unsubscribe.
Can I Share the Gazette?
YES! Feel free to forward the entire email to as many friends as you like. However, due to copyright laws, you must forward the entire email, and not just the pattern.
