Celtic Knot Granny Squares pg 2

True Interwoven Rings Celtic Granny
Using a worsted weight yarn, and an H sized hook, these squares measure approximately 5 inches or 13 cm across.
With Color 1, Ch 15, connect to form ring.  Ch 1, work 30 Sc into ring.  Connect to beg ch. End off.
With Color 2, Ch 15, and feed one end through center of Ring 1.  Connect to beg ch of this color to create a ring that is connected to the 1st ring.  Ch 1, and work 30 Sc into this ring.  Connect to beg ch of this ring. End off.
With Color 3, Ch 15, and feed one end through the center of Ring 2.  Connect to beg ch of this ring to form the third ring.  Ch 1, work 30 Sc into this ring.  Connect to beg ch of this ring and end off.
With Color 4, Make a slip knot leaving a 1 inch tail.  Ch 17, DO NOT FEED THROUGH RING 3.  DO NOT CONNECT TO FORM CIRCLE.  Instead, Sc in 3rd Ch from hk.  Work 2 Sc into each ch.  
Take beg ch and feed it through center of Ring 1.  Pull this end under the side of Ring 1, and then Over the side of Ring 3.  Continue pulling the Beg Ch of Ring 4 through the center of Ring 3.  Now connect last Sc with Beg ch. End off.  Take the 1 inch tail and feed it through the bottom of the last Sc.  Tie tails together and Weave threads.
Edging:
Attach 5th color to any st on any ring. Ch 2, Work 1 Hdc into the next 6 sts.
Insert hk into any st in next Ring.  Insert hk into next st of Ring 1. Yo, pull through both Rings, and finish Hdc.
Work 1 Hdc into next 7 sts. Ch 2, 1 Hdc into same st.  Work 1 Hdc into next 7 sts.
Insert hk into any st in next Ring.  Insert hk into next st of Ring 2. Yo, pull through both Rings, and finish Hdc.
Work 1 Hdc into next 7 sts. Ch 2, 1 Hdc into same st. Work 1 Hdc into next 7 sts.  
Insert hk into any st in next Ring.  Insert hk into next st of Ring 3.  Yo, pull through both Rings, and finish Hdc.
Work 1 Hdc into next 7 sts. Ch 2, 1 Hdc into same st.  Work 1 Hdc into next 7 sts.
Find the Beg Ch of this round, which started on Ring 1.  Count 7 sts-working backwards from the beg ch towards the current st.  Insert hk into the 7th st from the beg ch (of 1st Ring). Insert hk into next st of 4th Ring.  Yo, pull through both Rings, and finish Hdc. Work 1 Hdc into next 7 sts, including the st with the beg ch.  Ch 2 and connect to beg ch.
Round 2: Ch 2, *Work 1 Hdc in each st down side (working 2 Dc in the sts where two rings are joined).  Work 2 Hdc, Ch 2 2 Hdc in the corner Ch 2 sp.  Repeat from * around square.  Connect to beg ch and end off. Weave all threads.

Celtic Tri Knot Triangle Granny
With Color 1, Ch 15, connect to form ring.  Ch 2, 29 Hdc into ring.  Connect to beg ch. End off.
With Color 2, Ch 15, and feed one end through center of Ring 1.  Connect to beg ch of this color to create a ring that is connected to the 1st ring.  Ch 2, and work 29 Hdc into this ring.  Connect to beg ch of this ring. End off.
With Color 3, Ch 15, and feed one end through the center of both of the other 2 rings.  Connect to beg ch of this ring to form the third ring.  Ch 2, work 29 Hdc into this ring.  Connect to beg ch of this ring and end off.
(Tip: When working Hdc into the connecting rings, just pull the ring towards you to work the sts into the ring, rather than trying to work around the other rings.)
Edging:
Round 1: With Color 4, attach to the outer edge of Ring . Ch 1, work 1 Sc into next 6 sts.  Insert hk into any st in next ring.  Insert hk into next st of Ring 1. Yo, pull through both Rings, and finish Sc. Work 1 Sc into next 7 sts of Second Ring. Ch 2, Sc into same st. Work 1 Sc into next 7 sts. Insert hk into any st in 3rd ring.  Insert hk into next st of 2nd ring. Yo, pull through both Rings, and finish Sc. Work 1 Sc into next 7 sts. Ch 2. Sc into same st. Work 1 Sc into next 7 sts.  Find the Beg Ch of this round, which started on Ring 1. Count 7 sts-working backwards from the beg ch towards the current st.  Insert hk into the 7th st from the beg ch (of 1st Ring). Insert hk into next st of 3rd Ring.  Yo, pull through both Rings, and finish Sc. Work 1 Sc into next 7 sts, including the st with the beg ch.  Ch 2 and connect to beg ch.
Round 2: Ch 2. *Work 1 Hdc into all sts on this side and one in Ch 2 sp.  Ch 2. Work 1 Hdc into same Ch 2 sp. Repeat from * around Triangle. Work 1 Hdc beside beg ch, connect to beg ch, and end off.
Note: You can work Dc into the sts where the three rings meet on each side, to even out the final edge.
